The Fakis Cho Chi F.C. football team in Ta Van village was founded in 2020. The name comes from the H'Mong language, combining "Fakis" meaning "Westerner" and "Cho Chi" meaning "Vietnamese person."

The team is made up of "Western" members who have lived in the village for a long time, and Kinh people who have come from the lowlands to live in the village. Basically, it's a group of people who have "left the city to live in the forest."

The team plays every Tuesday and Friday afternoon at the "football field in the clouds," located in Su Pan village, Sapa. The field is located halfway up the mountain, about 1200m high, at the same level as the clouds. The match starts at 5pm, just as the sun is setting behind the Hoang Lien Son mountain range.
